You stand out by the fence looking out past the field
a treeline black and a turquoise sky
what did I lose what did I leave I'm just trying to live
a fire on the hill burned for two years straight
and that whole time black eyes shined
within all those that were closed
smoke on the wind and you think you might know
ash on the water and now you're sure
and so you turn into that wind and you go
and on the wind is god and god is fate
every single day
on the wind is god and god is will
will you even try
